Jesus: the light for all your dwellings.

Jesus: the light for all your dwellings.

Self-righteousness is manifested in 2 ways:
1. I am too good for that.
2. I am too lousy for that.
-our identity is in Christ. Just as He is so we are in this world.

-Things with the blessings of God are no longer natural.
-Things the world offer often goes in circles. It leads to no where. Praise The Lord God offers life and life more abundantly.

Ps 128:1-6
v2
'eat the fruit of your hands'
- it is something to enjoy the rewards of what u do rather than someone else to enjoy the fruit of your labor.
'Well with you'
-wellness from God.

Darkness VS Light
Exodus 10:21-23 'Thick darkness'
Is 60:1-5 'arise and shine'
Exodus 10:23 'light in their dwellings'
-what kind of light was this?
This is heavenly light. Light of grace.
This is a stark contrast with the dark of judgment the Egyptian faced.

God bless our dwellings with light!
Application: this light goes to all our families! This light is to show how perfect his finished work, not how bad we have been!

Light on us cannot be explained because it was supernatural.
Application: This light of God will be seen in our work, homes and relationship!

Application: while the world is experiencing deep darkness, we as believers shall experience the light of grace supernaturally!

'Light in ALL your dwellings'

This is applied to ALL the house of Israel.

This light was on them not because they were in any way good but it was all because of the blood!

Application:
Please do not for one moment think someone shine because they are righteous and good BUT it is entirely because of Jesus.

1 Thes 5:5
'You are ALL sons of light..'

Conclusion:
The first word recorded in the bible is light. This light is different from sunlight because the sun was not created yet.
And in Hebrew, it is translated to be the the name of God - YAH. This means whenever we introduce Jesus in our situation, there will be light!

2 Cor 4:6 'the glory of God is found ultimately in the face of Jesus!'
Application: when you read the bible or listen to a sermon, look out for Jesus to see the glory of God!

John 8:10-12
-Gift of no condemnation comes before
-Grace never says go and sin some more but go and sin no more.
v12. Jesus spoke to them again, he that is in the light walks not in darkness.

-It the light of Jesus that keeps us out of darkness, not ours!

1 john 1:7
'If we walk in the light as He is in the light' - the word is 'in' not 'into' the walk.
-It is not how you walk but where you walk.

-We love because we have been brought out from darkness into light.

1 John 2:9-11 'this reference is not to believers because a true believer will not be in the darkness. John was reminding his non-believing Jewish brother that only true love can come from The Lord!

Is 60:1-5
1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
2 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.
3 And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 Lift up your eyes all around, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.
5 Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.
