"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." Ps 119:165
Let us not say we love God's Word if we are always worried, upset and complaining about things that go on in our lives. Do you find yourselves doing that? God says great peace have they that love His word! If things that go around us affect the peace in us, we have to check up on our hearts. Something must have gone wrong somewhere along the way. It could be an unconfessed sin or an unresolved conflict with another person or some part of self that we are addicted to. It could be our focus as well. If we get negatively affected by circumstances and situations around us, our focus is probably on the wrong object. The most ugly situations usually reveals the real self that is deep down. If we are not grounded in the truth and focus on Christ, we are going to be subjects of Satan's lies and use against other Christians and the unsaved. Satan knows and will do all He can to create disunity, discouragement and discomfort. The devil has been around a long time and knows better than we do. The protection from his wiles is to love God's Word. If you really love God's Word, you will chew on it all day. First of all, let's make a priority to do that by His grace because only the truth can set us free and give us peace in times of trouble!
