Year of Open doors and close doors
See the hand of God behind closed doors as well.
What we need when we encounter open doors?
Wisdom.
-There are many doors that will be opened but not every door we should walk into. We need to discern with wisdom.
Favor will open doors.
Wisdom will choose the right one.
Knowledge is good to have but wisdom will teach us how to apply knowledge.
Don't count on your own smarts and intellect BUT solely on the wisdom of God.
True wisdom comes from the Lord. Job 28:28 'the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom'
'The fear of the Lord' here is not negative BUT positive. Jesus defines the 'fear of The Lord' to 'worship the Lord' (Matt 4:10).
Fear= worship.
Prov 9:10 'fear(worship) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom'
Age does not give us wisdom.
Example: Elihu (Job 32:6-9)
Experience does not give us wisdom.
God gives us wisdom and understanding.
'Breath of the almighty gives understanding' Job 32:9
It is not what happens to you but what happens in you that matters. It is how you respond to a situation. So ask God for wisdom.
When God does not deliver us from our problems, it just means God is about to impart wisdom to show us how to handle them.
Do u want to be a Carrot or Egg or Coffee bean?
-Carrots go soft in hot water
-Eggs go hard in hot water
-Coffee bean produces flavor in hot water.
Ans: Coffee bean.
The wise will inherit glory (Pro 3:35). The wise does not earn but inherit glory. The glory here means weight, which also means influence, authority and prosperity.
There is no course or classes on wisdom, simply ask God and he will give liberally without holding back! (James 1).
Not every opportunity is an open door from The Lord. So how do we differentiate? How do we know which door to step through?
Apply heavenly wisdom not worldly wisdom.
James 3:13-18
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:13-18 NKJV)
Worldly wisdom:
-Bitter envy (comparison/competition)
-Strife in your heart
-Boasting (bragging)
-Lying
-Earthly
-Sensual
-Demonic
-Confusion
-Every evil work
Worldly wisdom destroys relationship.
Heavenly wisdom:
-Pure
-Peaceable
-Gentle
-Willing to yield (multitude of counsellors there is safety NOT friends)
-Full of mercy
-Good fruits
-Without partiality
-Without hypocrisy
Wisdom is a person.
Talk to Jesus and he will show you.
1 Cor 1:30
'It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us WISDOM from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” '
Don't look around for open or close doors, look up to Jesus.
Why?
Because Jesus is the door who will lead you to the right doors of green pastures!
John 10:9-10
'I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.'
Wisdom will flow in your life when u look to Jesus!
