Praying before the trial happens

Jesus thought us to pray that we enter not into temptation/testing/trials.

God wants to protect us from the power of the wicked one.

Although we grow through the faith we use and love we exercise in our trials, there are many that we do not have to go through because God wants to protect us from testings, trials and temptations.

If the Lord thought us how to pray that we enter not into temptation, we should really look into this because many temptations/testings/trials in our lives could be avoided.

'Just a groan will reach the throne'

Question:
-Why did God allow the Israelites to go through the testing when they were under grace?

God always wants man to depend on God. The greatest position we have is dependence on the Lord.

We should not have any self-confidence but Christ-confidence.

We declare that we have no self-confidence but only Christ-confidence.

The flesh is always saying, 'I can handle it' and that is a set up to defeat.

Only when Moses told God 'I cannot speak and do it, find someone else' that God raised him up to lead Israel.

The greatest leaders are those who don't have any self-confidence but only Christ-confidence.

A strong anointing is always on the man who is not self-confident but Christ-confident.

Exo 2:23-25

God 'heard their groaning, remembered, looked an acknowledge'
There is something about covenant that drives God to action.

Contract VS covenant
Man's contracts are done out of mistrust from both parties while God's covenants are done because of man's weakness; man need to be assured.

The new covenant:
God remembers our sins no more because he once remembered all our sins in the body of Jesus 2000 years ago. God cannot raise Jesus up if he had one speck of sin on him.

What is the believer's part in the new covenant:
-Just believe. To believe is simply to depend =)

God's holiness warrants that He forgets our sins because He completely judged it in Jesus' body on the cross.

Jos 24:14-15
The children of Israel were worshipping idols when they were in Egypt and yet God in his mercy and great grace still responded to their cry of pain.
This cry of pain were not to God necessarily but God still heard and responded to help them!

Application:
What are we going through today? What kind of bondage u face today?
What do u do when u are in these kinds of situation?
Ans:
Simply cry out and we activate God's covenant and help.

God allows what man allows but it doesn't mean it is His will.

KEY: Rom 8:26-27 'help us in our weakness'
- the weakness is used to refer to physical illness as well.
- Acknowledge we don't know how to pray.
- Engage the advocate who knows and will help us with groanings which cannot be spoken in a known language.

Praying in tongues is the bridge between the negative experience (sickness, bondage) we have and the actual reality (wholeness, health) God wants us to enjoy because of the complete atonement of Jesus!

Acts 2:1-4 - 'Utterance' speaking in tongues.

First Pentecost was giving of the law while the second Pentecost was the giving of the spirit.

Acts 2:11 'tongues speaking the wonderful works of God'

Is 43:7 'we are made for God's glory'

Acts 2:26 'tongue'
VS
Ps 16:8-9 'glory'

David used 'glory' and in Acts, the Holy Spirit changed it to 'tongue'. This means the tongue is the precious gift that we used to bring glory to God!

Speaking in tongues brings insult to our intelligence but brings glory to the wonderful works of God in our lives !

Notes on healing:
There is a purpose for everything Jesus went through before the actual crucifixion. His took on stripes for our healing.
A verse in Proverbs says 'Wounds bring healing'
