Happiness Quote of the week
If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have a paradise in a few years. ~Bertrand Russell

A lesson of love
I have been learning about love and talking about how real love is giving and not expecting anything in return. Talk is cheap and easy until I was tested. Quite some time ago at Ang Mo Kio (Singapore), I met this middle-aged man who asked me for money. I was rushing and didn't really have much cash to spare. So, I thought I would just say, "I am sorry" and move along. Thoughts like that swept through my mind: 'I didn't even know this guy.' 'Can't he just go find some work? He has legs and hands to work.. maybe he is just lazy.' HOWEVER, something in my heart stopped me. I knew this guy didn't really deserve my money but then I did something I never really expected. I actually pulled out some cash and passed it to him. The desire to give just came to me and I knew that wasn't me. I looked up, smiled and thank Him for the privilege to share love. I knew it was because of the love I have received from Jesus that allowed me to do it willingly. Don't know what you are thinking but I can't believe myself. Then I saw it - That is exactly what Jesus did for me. I have done so many shameful, unlovable things that I want no one to know about. But in spite all that, He valued me so much that He gave His life that I can be saved and restored to a loving relationship with Him. Think about it. Don't we all need a Savior and a friend who loves us to the end? Believers, maybe try to do something sweet for someone who can't repay you today. I am sure He could be reminding you of someone right now. Stop, pray and make plans to do it. And remember that is what Jesus did for u and thank Him for the opportunity u have to show His love. For those of you looking for the kind of love that accepts you just the way you are, you need to look no more. If you are willing, give your life to Jesus today!

Happiness Quote of the week
Before we set our hearts too much on anything, let us examine how happy are those who already possess it. ~François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

Happiness is found in Love. Love is found in Giving.
Some people try hard to find happiness in so many places but true happiness comes out from LOVE that everyone is looking for! So try showing love to others (especially loved ones who we take for granted so often) and see what happens. A little smile, word of encouragement, a text and even something sweet to someone you know is hurting. That is love. It's giving. I believe that is why Jesus said "it's more blessed to give than to receive." Blessed simply means happy. So let us switch modes for today. From receiving to giving. That's what Jesus did in his life on earth and he gladly did it! If you studied Jesus' life in history, he didn't even have a house. He gave to the poor, gave to the blind and finally gave His life for all to have forgiveness of sins and life in its fullness. Though we don't deserve it, His love willingly paid the price. Now, He offers the gift of forgiveness and everlasting life to all. Just like a loving father would sacrifice his life to save his own, Jesus did the same for us. It's unexplainable. Have you tasted His love? Have you considered that and even bothered to find out more about His love? Although we acknowledge Him in the dating system (BC and AD), many of us don't think about Jesus Christ much. But Jesus Christ thinks of us everyday. He is waiting for us to believe in Him for an exciting relationship. New life starts when we simply turn from our sins to Him and exchange our sinful lives for Him to transform us. First taste God's love by faith in Jesus and then learn how to love like Him by reading about His life in the Gospels. After that, I am glad to inform you that we will see happiness in others and ourselves as a natural by-product!
